Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian (Canadian-American) is an activist in the field of feminist media in addition to a public speaking Canadian. She created Feminist Frequency which is a website which features video and posts analyzing the portrayals of females in pop culture. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning Canadian-American feminist media critic and blogger. Feminist Frequency is a site for education that examines gender roles within popular culture, is directed by Sarkeesian. In her efforts to dispel the myths about women and popular culture, she works on issues related to targeted harassment against women, as well as the marginalized groups of people in the online world.
