Amber Benson is a talented American actor who has performed as a singer, writer producer, director, and writer. Her most well-known role is as Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest child of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Benson was born in Birmingham in Alabama, on 8 January 1977. Danielle Benson is her sibling and a talented artist. Benson's father was Jewish, and while her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Her family was raised going to an Reform church in Alabama. Benson is a performer involved in numerous TV and movie shows since Buffy finished up, including The Killing Jar.
